The corrosion-resistant aluminum-bronze and stainless-steel construction is chosen for the aggressive media of secondary and tertiary recovery, where CO₂ and injected water attack standard materials. The gate-valve design gives full-bore, low-pressure-drop flow when open and positive isolation when closed — a strong fit for injection headers and distribution lines.
